Pentax K-M

Hi I decided to get myself a used Pentax DSLR to help me learn about Digital Photography.
So far I have enjoyed using the K-M in good light, but have found that low light shots can be disappointing.
What is the modern equivalent of the K-M and will it make a huge difference to my shot? Many thanks for your thoughts. Mike N

Hi Mike. Welcome to the Pentax forums. Unfortunately I cannot help with your question, but be patient because somebody will be able to answer. This site is great like that. Good luck.

If I am reading your question right... K-m -> K-x -> K-r.

Then maybe the K-S1 -> K-S2

Thanks Matt.
Is anyone else still using a K-M?
I like the look and feel of the K-M and am sure it is the right camera to begin with.
Has anyone upgraded from a K-M to a K50 and what would be the main difference I would see if I did this?
I am planning to by a new body in about 12 months time if I get on well with the K-M.
Many thanks
Mike

The K-50, K-S1, or K-S2. They are all going to be a substantial upgrade in terms of image quality, especially at high ISOs. Plus you get handy features such as live view
