Welcome to the forums Camera phones are as good a place to start with photography as any, where the creative aspect is mostly composition. DSLRs offer a huge amount of control but definitely take some time to master, so don't get disheartened if you find it takes some time before your DSLR shots are as good as, or better, than those you took with your phone! Good luck!

Hi,
There are quite a few of us here in Brisbane, who are also involved with a photographic collecting club called Cameraholics.
