The long road to redemption

I have been taking photographs for at least 20 years, starting with the Canon G4 and working my way through all the Canons up to and including the 5DS R, various Leicas and even Phase One. Finally I came across the 645Z and found a camera with exceptional image quality, wide DR and real-world usability. Having fallen into an iced-up river in Iceland and the camera surviving unscathed (unlike a friend's Sony A7R II, which simply died) I was convinced of its toughness as well. I have now also acquired the K-1 and it is living up to all my expectations, to the extent that I finally sold all my Canon gear and became 100% Pentax.

I look forward to following the forum and learning from others' experiences. I hope, however, that Pentax start making (again) an adapter to allow me to use the 645 lenses on the K-1 body. You can get third party versions but they seem to be poorly made and unreliable.

Welcome to the One True Path.
If you haven't already, get the three FA limited lenses to fully appreciate the Pentax way.

Keep an eye on the marketplace here for a genuine adapter. They do come up from time to time.
