Hi everyone.
I have only got into photography in the last few years after a memorable trip yielded poor results using a P&S. I wanted a hobby / interest with some depth to it and sure found it. So I read a lot of library books to discover the depth of my ignorance and found that two dials for full control would be A Good Thing. Then off I go to the web and shops and discovered that for my price range it would have to be a K-30, and while I price watched that the K-50 hove into view. Eventually I bought the K-50 18-135 WR kit. So I have been lurking for a few years, siphoning knowledge and wisdom (Big thanks to everyone!), stuff that I would never have got through trial and error. I’m not going to compete with the talent on display here but I’ll add the odd photo when I take something worthy.

welcome to our family!!! Posting is a great thing, especially if you post to the critique gallery which welcome suggestions by people. We don't bite, well except for a few people here which for my own safety shall remain nameless. I always nothing I shoot is even remotely interesting but some shots over time I shared garned a lot of positive results from people so please share with us

Thanks! that was quick, I haven't taken the time to checkout how to do the signatures and Flickr links and stuff yet, so that's my next task, after my next question a real newbie one.

that's probly because we ummmm, nevermind

also what I love about this site is that the admins and moderators are active too, just like regular people, commenting on and enjoying the photos... A nice change to some places where you have no direct contact with the wizards behind the curtain ....
