Ferrick the new comer DIY converted DA*60-250mm into a FF lens

Hi Everyone,
I am Ferrick, a new comer here. Recently I bought a K1 but found the 60-250mm couldn't cover the K1's sensor. I followed a thread here in this Forum and removed the baffle. The 60-250 is now a FF lens. See the results in the attached photos. Enjoy!
Ferrick

Welcome to the forum Ferrick.

Nice work with the adapted 60-250, I hope you enjoy your time here as well as your time cleaning dust off your sensor.

Regards,

Tas

Thanks for posting some pics taken with the modded lens. I am also interested in performing this mod for use on my K-1 and so far there aren't too many real examples yet of the results. The results you posted look great and several of your pics were taken at 250mm too so it seems like a great mod. I plan on just removing the baffle ring from the tube so that the tube can remain in the lens. Is this what you did as well?

Removing the ring actually means removing the baffle tube altogether. The ring restricting the image circle is an integral part of the tube. I took out the tube, filed away the ring and then fixed the tube back to the lens.

Nice work, do the corners look good to you? I'm probably going to replace my Tammy 70-200 with a DA*60-250 since I have a k-3, and if it works out nicely on the k-1, maybe I'll move up to the k-1 sometime

Upload a few more images (center crops) to show the resolution of this lens. DA*60-250 is wort the investment, particularly when it can be modified to cover FF.
