Howdy y'all

Relatively new to Pentax cameras but not to photography. I have,, had a Pentax K10D DSLR that I gave to my daughter in 2012 upon her getting her degree in Art History. I now have a brand new K3 that I'm getting to know. I started in photography in the late 70's early 80's with Minolta 35mm cameras. I still use these from time to time as well as a Mamiya 645 manual focus roll film camera that I have. I hope to learn a lot from y'all in the coming days.

Welcome!
I started in the early 80s with my Dad's fully manual Minolta. Those were the days!

The K3 series is brilliant, I'm just learning how to get the most out of it compared with my warhorse K5.

Thank you for the welcome! I'll post my first image here then will become more involved on other threads as I settle in with my new K3. I selected the DA 50mm F1.8 as a starting point to build my system. Just a photo from my job to see how this lens performs with color and sharpness. I'm satisfied.

Must be an interesting job...

Knowing my luck, if I got a job like this... I'd be the puncture repairman.

Welcome to the forums, good to have you on-board! Congratulations on the K-3... an excellent camera, and the DA50 f/1.8 is a great lens (affectionately known as a "plastic fantastic" around these parts ).
