Hello from Michigan

Hi, pretty much a noob, been shooting seriously for a year. Develop and scan my own film now. Shoot both digital and film. I use a Pentax K1000 mainly with B & W. I only use a 50mm 1.7 at this time. Thanks, looks like an informative forum.

When I went digital the FA 50 1.7 was my first prime. It's a nice lens. It will keep you busy for a while for sure.

I taught photography for 14 years with k1000s, a 12 bay darkroom, and 50mm lenses. So it's a familiar set up. But my guess is, at some time, Lens Buying Addiction will creep into your life. Currently the site has no counsellors for that, only enablers.

I will probably pick up a zoom at some point but will just keep using my legs and feet for now.
