New guy

Hi, I'm new around here, I have a K-R with just a kit 18-55 . I'm looking to pick up a new lens, one of my friends recommended the Tamron 18-200 as a good learning lens and he said it would minimize the need for me to switch lenses too often!

Hi TargetedFiring. Welcome to the Pentax forums. The Lens data base here on the forums is very extensive and maybe of help with your lens choice(s) !!!
On your home page, click on the lenses, and both Pentax and 3rd party lenses with lots of reviews from members there. Good luck, and good to have you here.

Welcome to the forums! Nothing wrong with your K-r and 18-55... many people here have produced wonderful images with such equipment.

I note that you've already found a lens meeting your requirements in the Marketplace - that's great. Looking forward to seeing some of your images with the new glass!
