Right! I forgot to say: My name is Jome and I also use "A series"...and I am proud of it.

Hello,

I just made a Test day in the botanical garden of Geneva with my K-3, an used lense and a (battle with) raw therapy crop.
I put it in my gallery.

Kind regards.

Jome

Greetings Jome and welcome aboard. When I came to the Pentax fold about four years ago, I was switching platforms from Minolta so I couldn't bring any of my legacy glass along for the ride. I have just one "A" series prime lens, a 50mm f1.8, that I bought cheap just to play around with. It kind of takes me back to my 35mm roots. I can put that lens on, put the camera in aperture priority mode, and start shooting like it's 1985 all over again.

are you swiss? age?
No, I'm sure that was me*, unless you imported it from the US
*atleast I thought so until you came along, now I'm unsure, I got mine on the 10th of May from Photovision, and afaik it's the only one they received until a few months ago.

Did you, by any chance recently buy a battery grip at digitec?

I'm 22 and am Swiss, albeit with British roots. You?

Sorry for kinda hijacking your thread, Jome

That's pretty good, how close can you get with the FA85? That's not a very common lens now.
I use my used FA100 f2.8 macro on my K3II - it works really well.

Hi Ter-or,

It's about 85 to 90 cm (that should do between 33.5 and 35.5 inches) from the subject ( that's more convenient in some cases).
I will probably do a review of the FA85 as soon as I will be confident with it.
