Hey guys, I'm Mike a British-American living in Australia.

Always had a passion for photography, only recently been able to afford indulging in it! To be honest, I am doing it on the cheap, and getting a heck of a lot of enjoyment from it.

I am an avid user of 500px and EyeEm.

Love the forum already, it was a highly recommended of by friends, and I've developed much appreciation for vintage and classic lens over the past year. Can't wait to learn more and get involved. Cheers!

Hi Mike. Welcome to the Pentax forums mate. There is nothing wrong with doing it on the cheap, you can have more items of gear that way !!!

Hope to see some photographs and see your name pop up in the discussions too. Good to have you here.

Thanks Mate! This place is immense, I simply cannot believe the amount of support and enthusiasm, I love it. Will definitely be around here as I develop.

Hi Mike, welcome to the forums - great to have you with us. "Doing it on the cheap" is a great approach. It's easy to get too bogged down with equipment (I know, because I'm a repeat offender in that respect!!

) when what really matters is the process and art of taking beautiful pictures.

Looking forward to your involvement - and give us a shout if we can help with anything

Cheers, I am truly staggered by the vastness of this site, with people from almost every country it seems. I'm more than happen to invest money in a good lens, but you are absolutely right. I use everything I own almost regularly, and i'm only buying new lens because I either can't accomplish something with the current set, or what I do have isn't of high enough quality. Can't wait to learn more about lens options, I've only really dipped my toes into the m42 market in the past year. I am astounded by the price some of these vintage lenses fetch though!
