Greetings from east-central New Mexico--yes, we are part of the good old USA, becoming a state in 1912, the 49th, and until Alaska, the 4th largest in land size. I am a retired educator. Have been interested and active in photography since about 15 years old, and my 2016 age is 73. Also, as my id might indicate, have a couple of antique cars, a '31 Model A Victoria, and a '27 Model T Roadster, both restored to original. I like the outdoors, hunting, camping fishing, etc, when I have time--retirement is just a word indicating a change in attitude and keeping busy. I generally lurk and sometimes respond. I might even post something every now and then.
I have had several Pentax cameras, notably a 35mm Super Program (50mm 1.7) and a K5 (Sigma 28/70mm 3.5-4.5, Promaster 28/105 mm 4.0-5.6) and a Promaster 70-300 4.0-5.6) currently, as well as 500mm mirror. I did have a D10, but someone needed it more than I did, so they took it when I wasn't looking.

Hi 31 Ford Vicky. Welcome to the Pentax forums. As you are retired now, you don't " have " to do anything, but I would like to see some of your photographs after you have settled in. Good to have you on board.

Hello and welcome - great to have you with us, and thanks for the nice intro... it's always fun to learn a little bit about our new members

There are plenty of people here who share all of your interests - not just photography; so, you're in good company. Lurking is fine, but we look forward to your involvement when you feel like it
