Hello from NYC

Hello to every Pentaxian,
I am from NYC, after going through search and search. Went from Canon to Nikon, finally land in Pentax for my first DSLR.
If you happen to see a weird guy on the street with his K-5IIs creeping around, no doubt 90% that would be me.

Nice to meet everyone here.

That will be other experienced weirdos with better hiding skills, so you have less chance to spot them

Hi bigfowiB. Welcome to the Pentax forums and Pentax equipment. The rest of the photographic world think we are all a bit " weird " here for using Pentax, so you will fit right in, unnoticed !!! Good to have you aboard.

Only way to find out is to take photo on the street without being chased by your targets

Thank you, shame on me, I did not even know Pentax before searching for days about camera with weather seal. Since I am weird to begin with, so...

Thank you, it is wonderful, even for a beginner like me, easy enough for me to understand how to use it.

Hello and welcome to the forums - great to have you with us It's nice to hear you picked a Pentax for your first DSLR. I started with a Nikon D40X some years ago, but soon switched over to Pentax and haven't looked back. We Pentax users may not benefit from the automatic acceptance that Nikon and Canon users have, but we're a pretty tight community. Welcome aboard

Thank you, the community is one of the reason I picked Pentax. Much more friendly than Canikon...
I never seen a community with that many useful info, when I pick lens, I can just come to the forum and read, instead of google and guessing which one is truth

Ok that's my group... I've been known to use both my “Mistress" (Pentax-A 15mm F3.5) and my "Good Lady” (Pentax-A 20mm F2.8) for "up close and personal" street shots, whilst in full stealth mode (i.e. not seen) in plain view of all and got away with it.

My target spots me a little often, maybe I am too slow.
When my 40mm f2.8 limited arrives, I will take all the time I want and claim it is not a lens when being confront, after all, it is so small...
I love the way you name your ladies
