| Hello from Porto, Portugal!
Hi Everyone! My Name is Rui Moreira and I'm from Porto. I started learning photography with a Canon 550D and then with a Canon 60D until I found my ultimate companion, the Pentax K-5. I've been shooting with Pentax since 2012 since when my father came home with his new camera from this legacy brand from his early 20's. I remember thought to myself "What a waste of 1000€. Even worst in a brand that nobody shoot with anymore." ... And ... Well... You Know, it happen! Pentax have this magic that grabs the user. It's carefully thought button layout, the features that are designed with passion for our amusement and it's superb image quality and vintage lens... Well, I could be here for hours. Through this years as a forum reader I never took part in any discussion mainly due to my lasyness for writing. Witch I promise myself that would change in the close future  I hope I can keep learning with you all as I've been until now. Thanks! | |

Hello, Rui, and a warm welcome to the forums - glad you could join us, and thanks for the introduction. There are things I like about Pentax equipment, and things that I don't - but, when all's said and done, none of the things I dislike are enough to make me want to switch to another brand for my main camera. We Pentax users have it pretty darned good |
