It always feels a bit like writing a CV, this bit. Here goes!

My name's Chris.

I have been a lifelong fan of photography and at one point wanted to become a professional, but work got in the way and when digital came in sort of lost interest. The magic, for me, is in discovering what you have created when the films are developed.

I have spent the last few years living on a boat travelling around Britain, but now have moved back to a house in the Peak District in Derbyshire, UK. For the first time in my adult life I have space for a darkroom. And the creative itch won't go away!

I have bought an el cheapo Practica SLR, and if I still find myself enjoying it want to recreate my old Pentax Spotmatic outfit, which I accidentally killed in 1996 on a road trip around Eastern Europe. It was the nicest camera I ever owned.
