Hello,

I'm new to photography and for my first camera I decided to go with the K-3 II. I've been messing around with it the last few days learning the ins and outs and I'm already hooked. My main interest right now is doing macro photography. I ordered an M42 adaptor and bellows unit which should get here today. I can't wait to test that out and get 3:1 macro images.

I'm also getting into older film cameras. I bought a Pentax Auto 110, and I'm looking for a screw mount SLR.

I'm sure I'll have some learning pains in the next few weeks, so thank you all for the wealth of information that you provide!

As another Buckeye, I won't hold it against you. Of course, this Saturday could end that boastfulness....

Extreme macro can be done a few ways, I have a bellows but haven't messed around with it too much. Keep an eye on Craigslist, old collections pop up once in a while. Most of my macro is handheld in the field, chasing insects. I added a Sunpak DX-8R ring flash this year and it's been great.

But the Dan from Michigan I know is a Spartans fan

Though I do know a guy from Kentucky who is an OSU fan...
