K3

I'm looking for an upgrade for my K20D. I'm doubting between the K70 and the K3. Since last firmware allows the K3 to use the new mount Kaf4, I'll probably will get the K3.
Can someone tell if the new Pentax 55-300 works fine with the K3? Also with the extender x1.4?
Thanks

Welcome to the forum, I'll let someone else comment on that lens usage as I I have no knowledge of it.

Yes to both, after you update the firmware.

You will likely be very happy with that combo. The 18-135 is quite a fun walkabout lens. The 55-300 adds a lot of reach. The new silent version is getting good reviews. The old one was already respected.

Hello and welcome to the forums - glad you could join us.

I can't comment on the 18-135, but the 55-300 and, from what I've read, the new PLM version are excellent. The K-3 is also a very fine camera - really very good indeed. I'm sure you'd be delighted with it
