Welcome neighbor, i live on Mandeville st across the causeway. Enjoy the forum. I spent last night in city park because chewbacus prevented me from going home. Happy mardi gras.

I hear that! I moved here back in '94 and vividly remember my first carnival season. I was headed home from the airport and got stuck in traffic in Metairie...they were moving floats. Being new, I had no idea of traffic work arounds. Now I know what and where to avoid.

Once the season has past, I really need to get to St. Charles and get some street car shots. I sell my prints locally, but we're moving to Winnipeg, Manitoba in a few months (my wife got a great job offer and I'm retired), so I figure that stuff we think as day to day will sell very well in Winnipeg.
