...it only took me 28 years to join other Pentax fans!
When I bought my 1st SLR it was happenstance that I chose a SF7. That led to to much fun with a home darkroom & local camera club print competitions in the early 90s. I bought a ME Super as backup, HP5 in one, Velvia/Superia in the other.
I then moved into the digital era with a K-200 in ~2007, then a K-5 ~2011 and even had a play with Astrotracer. More recently social media (especially Instagram) has helped me rekindle a desire to make pictures that give me pleasure & much fun and I bought a K-3II early last year, only to discover that the K-1 was about to launch! Well, I still love my K-3II, but succumbed and bought the K-1 in November. It was a joy to discover that my old film era lenses give me full-frame. I do wish there were more affordable lenses for the K-1, but we pentax folk are known for our patience!
I feel lucky living in Birmingham that there are lots of active groups for togs (I'd be happy to recommend). This has extended my range into studio photography, which has helped me learn loads. A question I have relates to studios - which flash triggers should I get to work reliably with the K-1 and K3-II? it's rather hit and miss when I attend studio sessions at the moment, OK for Nikon/Canon, but not always for Pentax
I look forward to being an active member here, cheers!
