Aloha!
Just wanted to say Hi from the middle of the Pacific.
I've recently made the jump over to Pentax 645z from the Mamiya/PhaseOne line. It became a matter of economics for me when i started to look at the cost of upgrading to a CMOS sensor. And I met admit to being pleasantly surprised by the quality of images I'm seeing. Getting used to a new arrangement of dials and buttons always takes a little time but I'm very happy with my purchases so far.
I tend to like the long end of the spectrum and plan to shoot some of the surfing action her in Hawaii. I picked up the 400/5.6 and am stoked to see the images coming from that glass. I've also used the 645 in a couple of settings at 3200 and 6400 iso for web based reporting and it performed admirably in that setting and my studio shooting with it so far even with the zooms has been awesome.
I'm not a great one for poking my nose around other peoples business but work as a pro in the media world so if there's anything I can assist with please feel free to connect.
Say Hi to Misty, from a studio shoot for a local jewelry designer. ISO 200, 80mm end of the 80-160/4.5, 1/100 @ f11, background 2 x Profoto B1 bare heads behind flags and an Einstein 640 into a 7ft October our front.
Thanks for the welcome and much aloha!
