Olá from Portugal!

Hello,

I'm a huge fan of this forum! I have to say that I'm a Canon user and I'm more into film. I own a film production company based in Portugal, and photography is more like a pleasure for me.

Ever since I bought a Super Multi Coated Takumar 50mm 1.4, I discovered this forum and find it very interesting and usefull, especially when it comes to old lenses. I think that old Pentax lenses absolutelly rock!

Congratulations to everyone who supports and shares their thoughts in here.

Best regards!

Welcome from South Africa. The forum is a wealth of knowledge, isn't it?. A word of caution, though...start with a legacy Pentax lens or two and before you know it you suffer from LBA and the next logical step is one of those excellent Pentax film cameras.....! :-)
Best.

Thanks Charlie! Have to say that the forum is my main reference and search database for old lenses. It really is something.

About LBA, I think I already suffer from it Since I brought the Tak home two months ago, I already bought another three vintage lenses... completely addicted. Looking at a Tak 135mm 2.5 right now

Best.

Olá Licinio and welcome to Pentax Forums.

I have lots of old Pentax glass, too, but then I bought most of it new...

Purely coincidentally, I'm planning a visit to Portugal, later this year, and I'm also reading a book about pre-WW2 Portugal, whose main character has the same surname as you, although it was written by an Italian author!

I see there's no need to tell you to enjoy your time on the Forum, as you clearly are, already. However, some of your photos would be more than welcome.

Olá Rob and thank you.

Is it Tabucchi you're reading? Pereira is a portuguese family name, but quite common in latin countries. It means pear tree
Will it be your first time in Portugal?

Will update some photos soon!

Spot on, Licinio! The English title is "Pereira Maintains". It will be my first visit to Portugal, so I'm rather looking forward to it.

Hey!

Aveiro is a great place to shoot and to be! I've been there a couple of times and I'm always pleased to comeback. Very very nice people.
Good to see fellow country men here.

Best luck!
