Hello From Maine

Hello all,
I've been using the forum in the last few weeks and recently registered. I've been using Pentax film cameras since the mid 90's when I was given two MZ-X cameras left over from an aerial survey project. Traded those for a ZX-L that I had until just recently. Sold two Canon AE-1s (that I was given) and my ZX-L on ebay and bought a K200D. Not the latest and greatest but it does everything I want and the price was right. Camera came "used" but looks new. One of the nice features about Pentax is the lens compatibility - I bought an 18-55 lens but still have my others. I would consider myself an amateur photography - purely a hobby.

Welcome Dale, We always appreciate new victims... er... members. I'm an old Maniac myself, transplanted to Florida a couple of decades (or maybe more. Maybe a lot more... )
Where are you doing your shooting?

Anywhere I can. I'm a commercial pilot, so I end up all over New England.

I think I have exhausted my free camera supply. The digital boom resulted in my windfall of film cameras. The K200D I remember looking at when it came out but at the time was far outside my price range. Just had to wait 9 years!

Maybe you can find an inside contact with unclaimed baggage.

Welcome to the forum! Post some photos! Lots of good, smart people here, that are helpful if you have questions. Good luck with the K200D.

Here is one from this morning, shot out the car window at the side of the road on my way to work.

A bit blurry but that was the price for a quick stop on the side of the road without getting out. 15 minutes later the sun had come up enough that the color was gone. I took a few more that didn't have the blur, but the colors were just as good. That is an unedited photo.
