newbie with ME super.

hi ALL
just joined this group after getting an Me Super black and a 50/2 smc. Over 50 hobbyist and own many other brands, but loved the size of the M series ))) Unfortunately the shutter/mirror sticks/locks sometimes. Not sure if its the lens or the camera at fault. Batteries and foam replaced. Whatever, still having fun

Welcome to the forum. The ME Super is a lovely little camera if you can find one that works, or are willing to spend the $$$ to get it serviced.

Check the mirror bumper if that hasn't been replaced - it may be sticking to the mirror. It's very easy to replace with the right foam, use one a bit thicker than the stuff used to replace light seals. If it's not that, then it's probably jammed up internally and that would require a full CLA (Clean, Lubricate, Adjust) to fix.

thanks Jon for the warm welcome. Will prob exchange it for another chrome cam from the same seller. I wanted a black The foam has been replaced so i don't think its sticking the mirror.
A full service would cost me about usd80 including postage to my country. In my opinion not worth it.
