Hello from Wisconsin

Was into film photography back in the late 80's to mid 90's.
Technology advanced and went digital.
Now I want to go back to good ole film photography.
Went into storage and dusting off my old K1000 and four lenses.
Need to relearn it as it has been awhile but I think I will enjoy the ride.

Thank you all for the welcome.

Been spending this weekend reading these forums and learning/relearning a lot.

Spent time cleaning the K1000 and have a light seal kit coming cause mine is basically non existent.
Cleaned up all my lenses and they all snap and focus/function fine after being stored for all these years.
The SMC A 1:3.5 35~105mm will be my go to lense for most use.
Seal kit should be here this week and get it installed then time to take it out over the long weekend coming up.
Local choice of film was Kodak 400 Ultramax, all they had in my small town.

Looks like I will need to go to a bigger city to get film developed so I get my negatives back.
Seems these days they are sent out for processing and you get the pic's and CD but negatives are kept/destroyed; things sure have changed since I was shooting film 20 years ago.
Thinking of processing my own and scanning them.
We will see how it goes.

I know about small towns. My town don't even have a post office. My mail comes from another city near by. The mail person route is 88 miles a day.

In the UK, the Postal Delivery staff have to cover 4 miles per hour. That's a 22 hour day. Maybe they sleep while someone else drives, I don't know !

Welcome from South of the Border!
I keep saying I'm going to run some film through the K1000, but never quite seem to find the effort.
