New member here, long time lurker.
I've recently purchased my first pentax, a k10d!

A little history of my purchasing decision...I originally bought this camera so I can use my m42 lenses on a digital body that isn't a Nikon, which is what I primarily shoot with. Since I couldn't focus to infinity due to the flange distance, I needed something else to use the lenses on. My first camera for the m42 lenses was a Sony Nex 5N, but the lack of a viewfinder really hindered my creative process. This finally led me to purchase a K10D body from keh for about 100 dollars. Now I have a body dedicated to my m42 lenses. I'm shooting with a tak 50mm 1.4 and a helios 44-2. I also have a tak 55mm 1.8 that stays on a Praktiflex film camera.

I've always been intrigued by Pentax, but never found myself owning one until now. I'm hooked now. I want another Pentax like the K5 or K3. Although I'll probably never give up my Nikon, since it has huge sentimental value to me, Pentax has found a place in my heart as well.
