Hello, I am now 60 years old and live in the northern part of Germany.
In 2011, I switched from Olympus to Pentax, because I needed a camera,
that was more secured against moisture or rain.
In addition, the body should not be too big. So it became the K7 and later still the K3.

I came to the photography in my youth.
Made a lot of sports pictures ( black/white) and developed them themselves in a darkroom.
For some years now, I have been spending more time, devoting myself for the photography.

I mainly do travel photos.
Some visited countries: Sri Lanka, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Singapore, Malaysia and more ....
But also the wildlife, that can be found in our city garden or in the vastness of the national parks of South Africa,
have my attention.

I ask for consideration for my English, to speak is one thing, - to write is different ......

Welcome to the forums. I was two years in Soest with the Canadian army 1965-1967. Is that considered North by you?

Hello Albert, nice to hear that you was in Germany. Soest is more in southwestside from my hometown.
We are living near Hamburg.
In a very nice town . about 60 km west - northwest from Hamburg ,- in Stade.

My car was shipped back to Canada from Hamburg, if I remember correctly. Those two years were our honeymoon. My son is German, start to finish
