Hello from New Mexico Sony a6000 user of Pentax lenses.

My name is Pete been shooting for over 30 years on and off lately. Nikon FX gear and Sony a6000.
I love landscape and people photography, mainly street and dramatic events as i was a freelancer in the early late 80's 90's for the St Pete times in Florida.
My use of Pentax early Takumar's on my a6000 brought me to this forum as I find it informative and also has unbiased honest opinions on other brads of lenses as well.
Good place to be with no ego.
Pete

Sometimes I wish Pentax lenses were a bit less popular with users of other systems...especially when I come up against them on eBay.

But hello and welcome nonetheless.

I like lenses with a registration distance longer or as long as pentax k mount. Love my nikkor 105 and my mamiya 55 1.4. A good lens is a good lens. A good lens i can use is wonderful.

Thanks guys!!
swanlefitte You are correct, a good lens is a good lens.. Better than obsolete or disposable.. The old grenade glass as i call it are 90% made by by hand and built to last if taken care of..
My main equipment has always been Nikon, the recent perches Sony a6000 was not by choice but by luck.. I always wanted a mirrorless but couldn't afford one. I picked this a6000 at a thrift store for $7.50 all dirty and no battery with a kit lens.. Ordered a battery and charger off Ebay cleaned it up had to persuade the lens a few times to engage. It's working but wont manually zoom only by use of the buttons. I like it a lot. I have bought a large amount of primes since then from 28mm to 200mm in various brands. Came across an eight element super takumar and a seven element. As far as differences very little the seven seems a bit sharper. The last score last week was a Canon 35mm f1.8 LTM with original case and caps for $1.00 super clean. I actually paid $5.00 as that was the limit at Salvation Army for a card I didn't have cash in my wallet.. Tiny lens on the Sony for street photography with the sensor size equivalent to 52.5mm.. You can see some of my recent works on Flickr Peter Lucchini | Flickr

Thank you again fellow photographers for the warm welcome.
Pete
