New to Pentax and the Pentax Forum!

Hi! My name is Pat and I am a retired wedding photographer. I have lived in Ohio for the past 7 years originally being from New Hampshire. I recently bought the Pentax KP and then I rented the Pentax 18-270mm lens for a week. I was very impressed with both. Now I just bought the Pentax 55-300 lens and am blown away by the photos I am getting! Glad to be here and thank you!

Pat

Hi Pat, welcome. Yes, the 55-300 is a great lens, especially in its new PLM incarnation.

Welcome from an Ohio ex-pat. There's plenty of scenic opportunities in NE Ohio, with its varied landscape. That should keep you active in your retirement (whatever that is).

Welcome to the forum, if these zooms are "blowing you away"... you wanna try some of the primes too.

Welcome to the forums Pat, I'm in the Cleveland area now originally from Ashtabula. There are lots of fine area parks in Lake county and also in Cleveland. It's startling to be a good time to get out and take images of the fall colors. Also there are many covered bridges in Ashtabula county also good areas for fall pictures.

Rick, thanks!!!! We are definitely going to cover the bridges in Ashtabula as soon as the trees start changing! You are right about the Cleveland area. We will be going back up to the zoo also. Awesome area up there! Thanks for the welcome! Pat
