Hi all,

My name is Mischa, I'm married to my lovely wife and together we have 2 children (Femke, born 2004 and Stan, born 2007). We live i the South of the Netherlands near Maastricht.
To add some activity to my life I walk, mountainbike and do obstacle runs. To get rest I like to read. On walks (and whenever I can) I take my camera with me.
I earn my money as an accountmanager Measure & Analyze for Emerson Automation Solutions.
I started my photography life the analogue way with a flimsy sports cam, a Minolta SLR and a Canon SLR. Then Digital photography came into my life, while these camera's passed by: Sony DSC-W1, Pentax ist-DL (hey, the first Pentax), a Panasonic DMC-LC80, Fuji Finepix F70exr, Fuji Finepix HS20exr, Panasonic DMC-TZ40, Pentax K-5, Panasonic DMC-FZ2000. Both Panasonic DMC-TZ40 and Pentax K-5 are still in my posession en are used regularly (85% Pentax, 15% Panasonic).
I managed to infect my daughter with the DSLR-virus, so she got my Pentax ist-DL. When she's a little older and starts making more pictures I'll get her a decent camera, Pentax off course.

I guess now you know a little more about me. What I like to take pictures off, will be clear when I start building my photo gallery.

Welcome Mischa! Lots to see, learn, and share here. I made much the same journey, but started with a Spotmatic--definitely not flimsy... The Netherlands are so beautiful, the history of art proves that, and I hope to visit one day. I look forward to seeing your photographs, whatever the subject... Best for your daughter's journey, too. Dutch/American here, 17th c. though (Bozeman, translation)...
