New to Film

I am new to the world of film and Pentax. I recently picked myself up a Pentax K1000.

Before you go too far, you might want to get your K1000 checked, to make sure it's in proper working order.

Suggest Tri-X film (clones available) expose at 200 ASA and use Microdol (one can formulate, but use within couple of days) straight, or dilute for more contrast, to develop. I sometimes under develop and redevelop using chromium intensifier to get great grain when scanned with Nikon Coolscan. Now scanning normal negatives to print digitally and using FF to digitize original prints. My stash paper, mostly Agfa Portriga I sold. Currently, I expose film in one of my KX's and digital, K-1, simultaneously. Jerry
