Hi and thank you for welcoming me to your forum. I searched for a forum because although I take regular photographic magazines in the UK, the name PENTAX rarely crops up these days and it's mainly Canon and Nikon.

I was beginning to think Pentax must have fallen out with everybody as even Signa don't mention Pentax as a manufacturer that their lenses will fit these days.

I've had Pentax kit for over 50 years so it's a shame to see it no longer at the forefront.

Welcome to the Forums, Foxy45. Yes, Pentax is alive and well, and their cameras are award winners (Just put "Pentax camera awards" into Google - and that will only return the last couple of years!). Pentax cameras offer a lot of bang for the buck, but I suspect the camera industry is like many others and the manufacturer has to pay for exposure (no pun intended). Don't worry about any of that. Just enjoy taking pictures and sharing them here.

I have used exclusively Pentax since 1961. I will plug your shotgun's barrels with my fingers rather than switch. Cutting edge? No. Solid, reliable, long lived, Yes.

Welcome to our house. Pentax may not be the best but it would hard to argue it's not the best value for the $.
