New member from North Devon in the UK

Hi everyone,

I've been a member of the PentaxUser.com community for a while but thought i'd join this community as well. I particularly like the format of your Camera and lenses review sections.
I've been shooting with Pentax gear for a few years now, and am a member of a local camera club here in North Devon. I think i'm the only person in the club that shoots on Pentax cameras, everybody else is a Nikon, Canon, or Fuji fan, nevermind, they don't know what they are missing!

It's been a while since I was down your way, though I used to visit regularly on my way over to Lundy (with my K-3!) for some "get-away-from-it-all" breaks... Haven't been for a few years since I moved up North, and I really miss it.

Welcome!

I travelled through your beautiful county in the summer of last year, and my ancestors were pretty much all West Country folk. My great-great-grandfather came from Horrabridge, just your side of the Tamar on the edge of Dartmoor.

I live a couple of miles up the road from Horrabridge, just outside Tavistock. Your great-great-grandfather definitely qualified as proper Dartmoor folk.

Isn't that the point of living up there in the 'wild' ?

Agreed we (Pentax folk) shouldn't be so shy and we should get on and place ourselves on the map. We (UKers) might be suprised by how many there really are ...
