I am from the Okanagan Valley in B.C. in Canada and have just purchased a used k30 dslr. I've spent the last couple of days learning how to use pentax-a and m42 lenses and seem to have figured out most of the mechanics of it now. This is the first slr camera for me other than a k1000 film camera I used many years ago. I didn't use it much and regarded it as a minor miracle if the film came back with some semblance of an image on it

Being a linux user I plan to use Rawtherapee to work with raw files - should be an interesting experience.

I've learned lots going through various entries on this forum - thanks to all who have contributed - it is a very informative site.
