Hi all, thought I'd say a quick hello.
My name is Paul, I'm a hobby photographer in Sydney.
I started taking photos with a hand-me-down Kodak Instamatic when I was about 12 or 13. Towards the end of high school I graduated to my Dad's old Canon AE-1 and had the privelege to gain a little darkroom experience in the school's labs.
After school I had a ~10 year break from photography until a couple of friends very generously bought me a Pentax MZ-7 with a couple of lenses as a birthday present; it got a little bit of use but not as much as the kindness deserved. A couple of years later I bought my first digital camera, a Kodak LS633 compact, which was so dang easy and rewarding to use it re-kindled my love of taking photos.
Then about two years ago I discovered that the Sigma lenses from my MZ-7 would work on Pentax's new digital models, so I bought a K100D body and have fallen right back into the swing of things.
