Hello from Wisconsin!

My name is Bryan Rogers, and I have been getting into photography as a hobby for the last year or so. I bought my first Takumar (SMC 50mm f/1.4) roughly six months ago because it was fast and cheap. I did not expect much for image quality but I was so impressed that I have since added several more Takumars to my collection.

Hi Bryan, Welcome ! I love Takumars too and, like you, couldn't stop at one. It was the same with the FA Limiteds.

Welcome from South of the Border!

I think half of why those old lenses are so good is you really have to take time and think about all the settings, instead of letting the camera make all the decisions. The other half is of course the "glass and brass" construction.
