Hi - joinging to maybe get an answer to my question ...

I have had many Pentax over the years, now with a K-30 which has given me some aperature issues previously. I made an adjustment to it a couple of years ago but still not working normally for photos, but I am hoping to salvage it and use it for some video shooting in my music studio.

Any way there are lots of posts on the forum about K-30 aperture block failure.

If you use M42 lenses (or, probably, K-mount lenses with the aperture set via the aperture ring), you should be fine. That would sound like a pretty good combo for video.
