Do you mean Bramela? Also known by his name Bruce, I think from NSW mid north coast (if I remember correctly).
Either way, welcome to the Forum. There is a lot of good stuff here, and a lot of expertise and advice, most of which would be better than mine.
List the camera model and lens details.
There would be a fair few upgrades to pentax equipment since your dad died, but there are plenty here still using older equipment and who will be able to help.

Edit. I just looked at Bramela's profile and his camera is listed as K5 and some nice lenses. I was using my K5 until I upgraded at Christmas; a very useful camera - nice to hold, easy to use, good IQ and reliable. Learn on it and then consider an upgrade when/if it suits you.

Hi from further north, B808. If Bramela was your dad, a lot of us remember him. Now it's your turn to find out what this is all about.

Welcome to the forum.

I'm too recent a member to have known your dad, however I can see from the entries above that he was much respected and valued.

Good luck with learning more from this forum about shooting your legacy camera.

Your dad's legacy lives on with that alphabet photo thread he started and that was linked by someone in an earlier reply. I've just posted to it for the first time myself: 'J' on the current page - 2553(?).

David (Canberra)
