New to Pentax DSLR

Hello everyone,

I've been a long time lurker on the forum and never actually owned a Pentax DSLR. I joined the forum when I was planning on purchasing a K200D (yes that long ago) and then ended up going Canon because of a sale. I shot Canon for several years before having to get out of photography for a while in 2013 after a move that ended up costing me a lot of money. Then in 2015 I decided to get back into photography and went with Sony Full-Frame mirrorless since it fit my needs the best at the time.

One thing that I've missed though is Wildlife photography. I have always been impressed with the Pentax weather sealing and decided to purchase a Pentax body and lens for this purpose to run concurrently with my other camera and lenses. I wanted something tough and waterproof for Kayak photography, and I feel that K3II and DA 300 should work nicely.

I'm looking forward to participating here and have always enjoyed the atmosphere. I also have a spotmatic F, so haven't felt completely out of place this whole time... I don't really shoot film now, but I do like the camera a lot and the Takumar lenses I've used with it. I'm hoping that I have the same satisfaction on the digital side of things.
