Hello everyone! I stumbled across this site while searching for lenses. Every time I searched for a lense this site was one of the top returns. I'm glad I found it.
A little about me. I'm new at photography. I have been interested in and wanting to do photography for many many years but work, family, time and money have always gotten in the way. Well a couple months ago I finally got around to starting. I signed up for a intro to photography class at the local community college, borrowed the camera I bought for my daughter a couple years ago (K-50) and away I went. I had a lot of fun and learned a lot. Of course I know that I still have a ton to learn but that's part of the fun, right? Always learning something new.
All my pictures so far have been using my daughters K-50 with the kits 18-55mm and 50-200m lenses. Though I recently purchased a PENTAX-A 50mm f/1.7 and a PENTAX-A 135mm f/2.8 that I am really looking forward to playing with. I have been looking at getting a Pentax FA 100mm F/2.8 Macro.
I'm on the search for a K-1. Yeah I know I don't *NEED* a K-1 but I want one.
I was planning on get a used one to save a couple hundred bucks but now with the MKii coming out I think I will end up getting a new one. I can't imagine paying what people are asking ($1450+) used one then knowing I will want to get it upgraded to a MKii for another $550. Then I would be close to the same price point as a new MKii. So unless the used MKi's come down a bit more a new MKii will be in my future. I'm having a difficult time restraining myself!
