Hi All
I recently went on a journey, walking away from Pentax to Sony, running from Sony to Fuji. I stayed a little longer at Fuji but 2 days ago I journeyed back to Pentax and am so pleased to have arrived home.

I feel an emotional attachment to Pentax which may sound ridiculous but nonetheless it makes a difference to my photography.

I’m an amateur who only properly started taking photos a few years ago. I have a bad habit of not reading manuals and a stupid tendency to want to discover and learn on my own through trial and error rather than reading/watching instructional material.

Anyway I’m delighted to have found this forum!

Most here will identify with your journey. Many of us who have cut their teeth on Pentax have tried other brands. In 2014 I sold off all my Pentax gear to decide what brand to shoot for the next decade. Rented Canon gear for a weekend, did the same with Nikon. Was about to invest in Nikon but stumbled on an excellent deal for a K-5II, rolled the dice on a HD DA 21 to go with it and was hooked. While the K-5II is an exceptional piece of kit; the HD DA Limited’s - their sharpness and drawing style are what keep me in the Pentax system.
