Hi Guys,
My Name is Hannah and I'm from Australia.
New to the DSLR Camera world and am hoping to learn from the posts within this forum.

Does anyone have any tips or tricks they could give me?

I have a Pentax K70, have been playing around with the photos and am so far enjoying it.

Welcome!

I don't know if this is what you think of as a tip exactly -- do whatever helps you keep taking pictures. There's tons of advice on the Internet about how to do photography and if you try to follow it all you'll tie yourself in knots. As long as you keep shooting, you can keep improving and enjoying yourself.

What's your previous photography experience? There are people here coming from "I used to use a lot of film in the 70s" and others who say "I'm upgrading from my phone" so there's a broad range.

Tips are easier to hand out when there's an issue to address or a question to answer. Want to post some pictures that you've taken where you felt there is something missing or something didn't go well?

Just get out there and take photos!

I like TAv mode - set aperture for the lens and conditions, set shutter speed to keep ISO in a reasonable range. Most of the time I'm in that, but for my macro work I'm shooting Manual mode.

Oh, and use your lens hood.

I too am a new user of the K70. Love the photos I am getting but a steep learning curve from other cameras I have had in the past.
I live in Northern New South Wales
