New to Pentax Camera

Hi everyone
My name is Margaret and I am new to using a Pentax camera. It has been a huge learning curve for me but I think I am getting there slowly. I love taking photos of wild life and am lucky to live in an area where wildlife abounds. I will try to post a couple of my recent photos of some birds around our home.

Hello Margaret, and welcome to Pentax Forums.

You’ve made a fine start there, with your K-70, which is an APS-C body of excellent value, currently.

As you may have already gathered, this is a pretty friendly forum, with people ready to provide help, whenever you need it. Please enjoy your time here, and keep contributing!

I'm interested in hearing more about the second image. At a local park here, utility workers erected a double pole {two normal poles spliced together end-to-end to make one twice as long} with a platform at the top, and some ospreys built a nest up there. Is this a similar situation??

Looks like a purpose-built Osprey platform. At Fermilab they have 3 nesting pairs. One tore a nest apart last autumn and rebuilt it this year. Odd, but they're nesting again.

Hi Margaret - and as others have said - "welcome to the forum"!! I'd say, based on the photos you've shared, that you're well "up" on the learning curve - well shot!!
