Hi all! First, let me say that I have been really impressed with the quality and quantity of information on this forum. The folks here seem very friendly and helpful. I've been repeatedly pointed to this forum while researching information and I'm glad for it. I've learned a lot. I majored in Photography (film) in college over twenty years ago (gadzooks, time flies!). Since then, I managed to carve out a small space in my basement to set up a darkroom of sorts... functional, but not comfortable. That lasted for a few years, until the kiddos got older and the demand for space in the house overwhelmed my 'hobbies'. I tried using various digital cameras over the years, but could never groove with the plastics and lack of mechanical sound and feel (clacks and whirs) that I had learned on... those things have always been integral to my fondness for photography. Recently, I have been inspired to dust off the Spotmatic (and buy a few more!), pick up a few new lenses, source some B&W film and get back on it. Eric got the camera back in good shape (fantastic, actually!). I process film in the kitchen, bought an Epson V600 that seems to do a pretty good job scanning negatives and now I feel complete again. I just wanted to give a quick introduction and say thanks for all that all of you do. I hope to soon post up some photos and participate more actively in this forum. Rock on!
