Hello from Sweden

Hello everybody,

I have often searched for reviews of (classic) lenses and more then often found it posted on PentaxForums, so the step was natural to join myself.
I started out on a borrowed Pentax Me from my uncle in 1980, then bought a Ricoh XR-7 and a few lenses, starting with Ricoh's own Ricenon 50mm f/1.4 (stellar performer), then their 135mm f/2.8 (excellent) and their 105mm Macro that is actually made by Kiron. Then a Soligor 80-200mm f/4.5 which was soft wide open, not surprising at a 1980's zoom.
Then I saw the light and it was spelled primes and Asahi Pentax. Back then I loved weight so the old pre Pentax-M was my thing.
Asahi Pentax SMC 105mm f/2.8 and 135mm f/2.5 and a 15mm super wide angle was the backbone.
After dabbling around with a Nikon F I switched to Minolta SR with X-700 and XD-7 and a line of lenses.
The worst mistake I made was to sell my old Asahi Pentax glass. I'm trying to repair that mistake and enjoy shooting with Sony E-mount cameras and all my classic manual focus lenses.

Stay safe out there and have lots of fun with all your glass, whatever brand it may be!
Cheers!
Henrik

In case you were wondering about my nickname; I worked for Kodak in the early 1980's developing Kodachrome in their lab. A bit different but I still remember the process, in case you are curious. Although without the machines and the chemicals it's not possible to reproduce.

Welcome!

Quite a collection you have there, sir.

After my latest purchase, my wife asked how many more lenses I needed. I must show her this picture.

Welcome to the forum, oh dear, it would appear you have two shelves of black tubular things...

I fear to call them be their correct name, in case I wake up Mistress LBA... who sometimes resides with me, but has been well under control.

Tess just asked me if I had any lenses to sell. I showed her this. Very timely.

With my 20 odd lenses, everyone of them does something the others don't.
