Upgrade to Pentax 645z

Hi Their,

Just to introduce myself, I’m a German male born in 1965, meanwhile living since 12 Years in Switzerland, I've started my amateur photographer "career" decades ago, at the Age of 15, witha Minolta X-700 and used it for 20 years, with several lenses. Then upgrade toan Olympus E 20, which had been stolen after 2 years.

Then I bought a Fuji S2 pro to have exchangeable lenses. I also bought a Nikon ED-5000 with a feeder to digitalize all my “old”slides. This camera I used for 2 years then I sold it for a good price and upgraded to a Fuji S3 pro, which didn’t need a extra Battery for metering anymore. This camera I used for several years, before upgrading to a Nikon D-600.I have bought previously all-time full frame lenses, so I only needed to upgrade the Body.

The D600 has been upgraded to a D-610 (except the seals) free of charge by Nikon due to the Oil problems of the shutter.

Also, this Camera has been used from me for Years. In 2018 I decided to upgrade again and bought a used Pentax 645z, as my dream had always been a medium sized SLR (The famous Pentax .6X7 in former times).

What shall I say, I don’t needed a manual at all, the menu is more or less equivalent to the Nikon. I love the much bigger Finder and the extreme easy handling. The Camera isn’t that heavy, love it. I bought the Camera with several Lenses

Pentax-FA 645 75mm 1:2,8
Pentax-FA 645 55mm 1:2,8
Pentax-FA 645 35mm 1:3,5
Pentax-FA 645 200mm 1:4

First, I bought the following lenses:

Pentax-FA 645 33-55mm/f4,5
Pentax-FA 645 45-85mm/f4,5
Pentax-FA 645 80-160mm/f4,5
Pentax-FA 645 150-300mm/f5,6

But I realized in a very short time that I will need the Pentax-FA 645 28-45mm/f4,5.

That’s it so far

Best regards

Hi Adam,

I realized it already, but it hasn't been my aim. I just wanted to let the People know what I'm working with. I will list the lenses there.

Best regards

Big welcome from Baltimore , Maryland in the USA , and enjoy your Z. I got one of the first ones available in the U.S. without waiting for any of the usual testing or commenting by reviewers, and I haven't regretted one second. I have a pretty full complement of lenses, don't hesitate to reach out to any of us (Mike SF is especially knowledgeable) with questions. My daughter and son-in-law are now in Vienna, and my wife and I hope to visit in the next year or so. Where are you in Switzerland?
