Hello! I'm new to the forum but not new to pentax. A little bit about me:
I live in Boise, Idaho and a grad student studying gaming and interactive mobile media at Boise State University. I'm also a veteran, having served with with the US Army Idaho National Guard for thirteen years.
Last year I purchased a pentax K50, imo, a great camera for beginners. A few weeks ago I purchased a pentax KP. I certainly enjoyed the KP over the 50. I've put together a camera rig (neewer frame kit, rode mic, LED lights, and 7" monitor, but discovered that the KP is not compatible with an external HDMI monitor. So this week I traded in the KP for a used K1 in excellent condition from my local pentax dealer (Idaho Camera & Adventure). Which works great with my rig and external montior. So far so good! I'm really loving the K1. Now I have a set up to do photography and videography, as well as indie documentaries.
