Hello from Switzerland

Hi all,

I found the forum mainly because it was the first hit in google when searching what manual lens I should buy for my sony a7.
I recently bought a sony a7, for the main reason that my canon 60D was getting to large to carry around. I wanted to buy some portrait lenses to make pictures of my newborn baby but ended up starting to collect Pentax / Super taks (it's just too temping to collect them).

My current collection:
- SMC Pentax 50mm 1.4
- SuperTakumar 55mm 1.8 (will sell)
- SuperTakumar 135 F3.5
- SuperTakumar 200 F4
- SMC Macro Takumar 50mm F4
Canon nFD 50mm 1.8 (will sell)

I am currently wondering if I buy a 85mm 1.8, but I should start using them instead of collecting the lenses.

Cheers from Switzerland

Welcome Micki!

That IS an interesting way to enter the pentax community! Your post made me google a bit, and it seems the combination of old manual Pentax lenses and Sony A7 is popular out there. So... could we see a few examples of how the newborn baby portraits turned out? Or did you get too caught up with the LBA-syndrome to actually get some shooting done?

(LBA, Lens Buying Addiction is a well known phenomenon here on the forums)
