Hi, I´m from CzechRepublic. I started with photo as a student, with old Czech camera“Flexaret”. It´s something as a “Czech Rolleiflex”

So,in 1981 I bought my first SLR – Praktica PLC 3, it was made in GDR (East Germany). There was n´t possibility to buy some other SLR as Praktica in Czechoslovakia in these years (except Soviet Zenit –nothing for serious work). Just in 2000 I bought my first Pentax – It was MZ 10, quite simple, but modern and reliable SLR camera.
But in the digitalera, I changed my equipment to Canon – Pentax was coming with DSLRs to the market a bit tentatively.
However, I like old manual Pentax SLRs, as LX and MX and some others. So I was founding more informations about them and I find Pentax Forums. Now, I own LX and MX and some M lenses. Pentax Forums helps me well, thanks!

FYI, Pentax DSLRs play pretty nicely with old manual lenses, as do many (if not all) mirrorless digital cameras such as the Fuji X and Sony NEX cameras.

Welcome to the forum. I can understand you perfectly - no problem there. Although I only shoot Pentax DSLR now, my MX and LX were perfect for me in the film days. And Pentax continues to deliver for me. Enjoy the forum.
