It's too bad the SDK didn't include the source code. What they released was a binary that people can write a wrapper for. This means it will require reverse engineering to make work with existing softwares like those driven by pktriggercord and libGphoto...which includes the observatory software I use, Indi/ekos. I'm hoping enough voices will be heard to reverse the current trend of removing tether functions from consumer models. There's more info(whining :P) one of the tethering threads.

Of course I'll be helping develop that wrapper for Linux if I get lucky.

...though I think @MMeissner (gphoto) may already have had the k1 working before the sdk release. He's very dedicated, but I haven't checked lately.

Hello and welcome. Thanks for sharing your story, and your photos are really great. I think I like them more now that I know some of what went into the making of them.
