Hey all,
First post here, first of all thank you all for creating such a wonderful wealth of resources.
Picked up my first pentax K-s2 for a 4th of july trip to Canada, coupled with Pentax FA 35-80mm F/4-5.6. It turned out great so far I am loving the camera and my pictures are so much better then they were with my mirrorless setup.
A little about me, last year started a new to me hobby collecting film cameras, at that point I only had Samsung nx-20 for a few years that I upgraded last winter to NX-30, for what they were, they are good cameras with plenty of features. But as I was getting more and more into film I decided that DSLR was next step.
From my research it was Pentax that won me over mostly due to K mount lenses being available in all shapes and forms for not much money, and best part you can use old glass without adapters.
So I picked up K-s2 body from Robert's camera on ebay and a 35-80 lens from japan, and went on a week long journey drive thru Canada. Camera worked perfectly with the exception of selfies as 35mm on 1.5 crop just couldn't get more that a head in the shot.
35-80 I bought mostly to try to use in on my KR-30sp Ricoh but that didn't really work that well. Lens is too new for that camera. So i sold it and bought myself 18-200 Tamron for a general walk around lens.
For KR-30sp I just picked up 28-100 Rikenon it still in the mail but once comes in I'll leave a review as there are none for it.
My film cameras span a whole range of films and ages, oldest lens i have is Baush & Lomb made between 1895-1901, I already adapted it to k-s2 with bellows. Bunch of soviet zenit, photosniper, FED, zorki. Polaroid Land, Canon FTb, Kodak Bantam etc.
Main idea for when I collect is to be able to shoot them at least once. so some of the film i've shot been extinct for decades.
here is a pic of the gear lol
