not too sure you will find members with opinions or advice here
but perhaps a few of us might try to express some from time to time
please let us know what you like to photograph and perhaps someone might direct you to an interesting thread or two
Ah, well - I'm not sure what I'm into yet! I'm at that stage of trying everything/throwing things at the wall and seeing what sticks! I'm quite a fan of close-up and macro shots, but also enjoy wildlife photography and nature in general come to think of it!
I currently use a random photo-subject generator I wrote in Python (which I may have to release at some point because it's turned out very useful: I usually generate two or three options and then choose the most interesting (though this carries the risk of me discarding genres I wouldn't usually do in favour of those that I would!)
It simply picks a random item from a list of subjects, a list of modifiers, and a list of genres to generate a short string of text, and an optional "challenge" for added ... challenge? xD
I'll attach some sample files to give you an idea of what I mean :P Every time you run it, it generates a number of files (chosen by the user) and drops them in a dated folder, which is why each of the below files has a number in front of it.
Some will love the idea, some will hate it - but I don't mind because it was fun to program and I find it useful
Originally posted by Kerrowdown I'm afraid it's an Ardnamurchan single malt at the moment, though if you catch me in a few weeks time, it will be a luxuriously smooth bourbon instead! I change the contents every time I refill; but I'm saving the good ones for christmas
::Adds uisge beatha (Islay) to the list of whiskies I should buy at some point:: Thanks for the tacit/unintentional whisky advice!
